Welcome to The Grace & Truth

Grace & Truth represents a person, and that is Jesus ("And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." - John 1:14 ESV).

Every year since 2020, as I begin reading the Bible through the year, I pray for a word from God—a word He wants me to remember and live by. For the year 2026, God's revealed word to me is "Purpose" - to run my race with endurance and purpose, fixing my eyes on Jesus. This is how The Grace & Truth channel began.

What is my purpose?

My name is Catherine. I was born in the Philippines, and my family migrated to Wellington, New Zealand, many years ago. I am married to the man I prayed for—God's absolute best for me.

Through this channel, I am sharing our testimony of how we experienced God's faithfulness in the wilderness while waiting through infertility. My prayer is to share every word, reflection, and revealed truth from the Lord, planting a seed of faith in the heart of everyone who reads it and bear fruit for God’s glory.

By God's grace, I want to live my life here on earth with the following purpose:

Our Testimony

For over 10 years now, my husband and I have been praying and waiting expectantly for the blessing of a baby at the Lord’s appointed time. We stand firm in steadfast hope, walk by faith, and worship in every season as we wait.

Back in 2021, by God’s grace and guidance, I started writing a short book and journal about our fertility journey and the Lord’s faithfulness in our wilderness. I finished writing it in 2023, but it wasn't the right time to share it yet, and God led me to write another chapter in 2024. I waited patiently, and in October 2025—at the Lord’s appointed time—we officially published our book, “God’s Faithfulness in the Wilderness: What to Expect When You're Not Expecting.”

I am sharing our story with the hope that everyone who reads it will know and experience the faithfulness of God. My prayer is that through these pages, you will see and embrace His goodness while you wait. Even in a wilderness that seems barren, dry, and distant, God is right there with us.

In November 2022, we were supposed to welcome our baby. Instead, we faced a heartbreaking loss, but God in His sovereignty and faithfulness continues to work in our lives, moulding our character to be more like Jesus during this season of waiting.

Through the waiting, despite the loss, pain, and barrenness, I have experienced the joy of being in the presence of the Lord. I have learned the total sufficiency of God’s grace—that Jesus is more than enough, always enough. In the wilderness, we stay planted in God’s love and truth. We abide in Jesus and continue to be fruitful by grace, through faith.

This is our "even-if" faith journey as we wait for our miracle and experience a love and faithfulness that never changes.
